About this project
We are celebrating the Spanish Harlem Orchestra's 15th Anniversary with a brand new fan-funded ArtistShare project. In 2000, Oscar Hernandez and Aaron Levinson came up with the idea to put together a band that paid homage to traditional Salsa and Latin Jazz. Little did we know that our first recording, Un Gran Dia en el Barrio, would receive a Grammy Nomination. 15 years later, with two Grammy Awards and four Grammy Nominations, we continue to push the band to raise the standards of excellence.
In this project, we invite you not only to recognize the achievements of the legendary musicians who have made this band what it is today, but also to welcome the new musicians that will continue to move us forward. Young talents, like our new vocalist Jeremy Bosch, continue to inspire us to keep doing what we do.
As the project progresses, participants will have access to the creative process behind the recording through interviews, sketches of music, photo galleries, and footage of rehearsals and performances. We will share our love for Salsa and Latin Jazz with you as we celebrate 15 years of hard work, respecting our roots and bringing our tradition to new places.
Please join us for Spanish Harlem Orchestra Anniversary.
