About This Offer

Recorded on The Thompson Fields in 2015, "Lembrança" requires percussion, as it was inspired by Brazilian samba, specifically the samba schools of Rio de Janeiro. It features trombone and bass, and is quite epic with a running time of about 14 minutes. If you have a strong group, a lyrical bass player, and a drummer and percussionist (or two percussionists) that are willing to delve into Brazilian rhythms, this is fun to play.

This work should be played by strong college or professional groups.

While this piece has accordion (and it's an important aspect of the piece), it could be possible to have a violin play those parts possibly. Maybe it's not optimal, but in a pinch, it could work.

We've included all sorts of alternative mixes that enable your musicians to practice and study, that will be especially helpful for your soloists and rhythm section. I also created a video to guide you through how I prepare this piece in rehearsal.
