About This Offer
Recorded on Sky Blue, "The Pretty Road" was co-commissioned by The Flynn Theatre (Burlington, VT), Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH), Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA), The Music Hall (Portsmouth, NH) and the University of Massachusetts (Amherst, MA) for its premiere in January 2006. This piece is a flügel feature that includes trumpet and electronics delay in the middle section.
With this offer I've included a streamed video where I talk about writing this piece. You'll also receive a streamed video where Ingrid speaks about playing this rather extensive solo that was written specifically for her. I've included some downloads of my early sketches for this piece. And finally, via video, you'll get to visit Windom, Minnesota (my hometown) on our band bus, where when we pulled into town, we were escorted by a Windom firetruck driven by my old (class of '79) classmates.
