About This Offer
Recorded on Coming About, "Waxwing" was written back in 1993. It's a lovely relaxed piece that is more difficult to play than it sounds. The challenge comes in unexpected ways, qne include that many of the sonorities have dissonant intervals like 'minor 9th' intervals, which are indeed tricky to tune up. Those challenges mostly present themselves in the trumpets. The flügel solo is in the 4th part. This could easily feature guitar as well. You only want to do this piece if you have a band with good intonation and a lyrical soloist.
